The Move Up Buyer
The Move up buyer is a very common scenario. It is when someone is not a first time home-buyer, but already owns a home, and they intend to “move up” to a bigger or better home than the one in which they currently reside.
Usually this scenario will require the assistance of a real estate agent, as in order to qualify for the newer better home; this buyer will have to also sell the existing home. Only if this buyer’s income can support making both the old and new mortgage payments could they qualify for buying the better property without first selling the old property.
