West Linn is just south of Lake Oswego along the western bank of the Willamette river. Here, in my opinion, you will find some of the best country that the river valley has to offer.
The land here is so beautiful, and the forest and river views here can be stunning. Compared to Lake Oswego to the north, West Linn is just a sleepy river village. There are some pockets of 1960’s and 1970’s construction found here, as well as some very high end HUGE homes scattered throughout the hills. Some of the wealthiest people in the state have homes here, for instance there are a few Portland Trailblazers who live out here.
West Linn is also home to Marylhurst University, one of the oldest Universities in the state.
